Why are we doing this?

We are a group of people who are learning about the Lakota tradition here in Sweden. We are doing this through our mentor Tobias.

Tobias lived in the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota, USA, where he was adopted into a family of medicine men when he was young. Tobias lived there for eight years and learned about this tradition and how to conduct its ceremonies.

Tobias promised his family in Pine Ridge that he would return to his ancestral homeland of Germany, where his ancestors were buried, and spread what he had learned in Pine Ridge here in Europe. Today, he lives in Germany with his family and travels to Sweden to educate about the Lakota tradition.

We regularly organize ceremonies, lectures, and workshops here in Sweden. The Lakota tradition helps us in our daily practical lives, helps us grow as individuals, heal, and find answers to our questions. Therefore, we want to pass this on to other people who are also interested in it. We see that people largely live in separation, which also leads to our destructive relationship with ourselves and our earth. The Lakota tradition has a relatively intact and unbroken spiritual tradition with powerful tools, something that is difficult to find in Western society today.

If you want to know more about what we do, you are welcome to participate in a ceremony. Participation requires nothing more than an open mind. You can also visit Tobias' community in Germany if you are curious about what is happening there. Read more atwww.4dsociety.net.

We are located about 40 minutes east of Gothenburg in Sweden. Here, we regularly hold sweat lodges and other ceremonies. If you have any questions or want to participate in a ceremony, please email us.
